Nostradamus and Other Prophets And Seers
Its the first post in this blog, lets start by talking about book that i've just finish reading last month. This book which was written by Jo Durden-Smith talks about the life of Nostradamus and his ability in predicting the future. The future which were accurately predicted by him are centuries after his lifetime that include the story of Napoleon, Hitler, World War 1 and 2 and many other more. Truth be told is that I have never heard of him before reading this book before, but after reading this book I am intrigued to understand and wanting to know more about Nostradamus and all Nostradamian that have existed up until this day.
Nevertheless, the book talks about him and even adds in few prophets which are Abraham, Moses, Solomon, Elijah, Daniel, and even talk about Jesus and Muhammad (Peace be Upon them) in one of the chapter. As neutral as this book may tries to be, I just wonder if Nostradamus is worthy enough to be compared with the other prophets that have lived and try guiding people to living good path of life during their lifetime while Nostradamus probably just prophecied the future with his poem? He have written hundreds probably thousands of poetic words through books which are allegedly predicting future events. But I wonder if everything are just a mere coincidence?and people are trying their best to find any events that fits with his words?
As an example, one of his poem are claimed to tell people about the rising of Osama Bin Laden and the rise of radical Muslims. In quatrain I,84;
Moon obscured in deepest shadows,
Her (past?) brother turn the colour of iron,
The great one long hidden in the shadows,
Shall cool a sword in a bleeding wound.
It seems that people have interpreted the Moon as Islam and 'Her Past brother' probably the Sun, represent other religion such as Christian. Osama Bin Laden probably 'The Great One' seen as the one that have thrusted his sword to the West world. To me its a bit absurd that they have related the Moon as Islam. So I am a bit sceptical upon this. If a common person (not a specialist) can't relate or see the vision in the poem, then to me its probably not the most accurate interpretation.
A new law will occupy a new country,
Towards Syria, Judaea, and Palestine,
The Great Empire of Barbarian will crumble,
Before the Sun makes an end of its cycle.
I don't think you have to be Einstein to understand that Nostradamus was talking about the establishment of the state of Israel in this century. For someone who have lived in 1500's and able to see this, I am indeed astonished and impressed. But of course I don't feel so peculiar since I am a person who believes in the existence of Illuminati and their neverending master plan (we'll talk about this in another post).
It sure are remarkable that many of his poems are indeed looks as if it was a premonition to the future. But in my honest perspective, I failed to see his worthiness to be ranked among the known prophets. But still this book is an interesting read and I probably have to read 2-3 times to digest and understand the author deeply. That's all for our small talk today.
